Yokamon Hearn was just 19 when he was sentenced to death, in 1998, charged with murder of a man a little bit older than him during a robbery, carried out with other accomplices.
Now he is lying inside Polunski death row, Texas.
Like many other capital inmates, Yokamon comes from a poor and hard childhood, without a father caring about him, and with his mother usually taking drugs.
His execution had already been decided on march 2004, but just a little time before the lethal injection worked, it was blocked thanks to a last minute stop due to an appeal claiming his mental retardation.
Nevertheless, on April 2012 his capital sentence was confirmed, and the new date of execution is awfully set for the next July 18th.
