Hymn

Standing near the Cross of the Lord
were his Mother, Mary, and her sister,
Mary of Clopas and Mary of Magdala.
Jesus looked on them with the beloved disciple.

Jesus said to his mother,
“O woman, this is your son,”
and to his disciple he said,
“This is your mother.”

Blessed is the Lord alone on the Cross,
who does not forget humanity,
and, in his love and mercy,
finds all a mother and a home.
