Professor Riccardi teaches at La Terza University in Rome, he is an expert in contemporary humanistic currents and a respected voice in the international cultural scene.
In 1968 Andrea Riccardi founded the Community of Sant’Egidio, and has since received a number of awards, including the prestigious “Charlemagne Prize" in 2009, given for outstanding contributions to the cause of European understanding and joint efforts in favour of humanity and world peace.
Among his most recent publications, “John Paul II, the Biography" (San Paolo 2010, published also in French, Spanish and Portuguese).
