An appeal for the delay of the execution of Mr Fabianus Tibo cum suis
With reverence,
Herewith, we the religious leaders, in the fullness of our conscience, ask you that the execution of Mr Fabianus Tibo
cum suis can be postponed under these considerations:
1) Humanity reason, since the three death sentenced still have a right to wait for 2 years to ask for clemency according to the law.
2) To keep harmony in the region of Poso and its surroundings that the process of reconciliation can be done smoothly and is not destroyed by the vengeances that are still being felt by the victims of the violence conflicts in that area.
3) In a society with a low mutual trust, the decision taken in a hurry by the government will raise a big question.
4) For the sake of the just and peaceful community in Poso and Palu, it would be better if the three death sentenced be moved to other place.
These are our appeal which we would like to deliver to you. Big is our expectation that this demand will be responded for the sake of the continuity and integrity of our beloved Republic of Indonesia.
