The International Meeting "THIRST FOR PEACE: Religions and cultures in dialogue" will take place in Assisi from September 18th to 20th 2016.

30 years after the historical Day of Prayer for Peace of October 27th 1986 promoted by Pope John Paul II, men and women of different religions and cultures, united in the hope that the "Spirit of Assisi" could bring peace in a world wounded by violence and war, will meet for 3 days, to talk and pray one close the other.

On September 20th Pope Francis will participate with the different religious leaders in the final ceremony of "Thirst for Peace".
