Representatives from all over the country with Andrea Riccardi reflect on a rapidly changing society

Community of people who communicate the Gospel in the city: this is the subject on which representatives of the Community of Sant'Egidio of Mozambique reflected together with Andrea Riccardi, who is these days on a visit to the African country.

During the meeting the importance of the peacemaker role of the Community of Sant'Egidio scattered throughout Mozambique was made clear. Especially in this time of high tensions, that carry especially the younger ones to believe in the solution of violence, the communities transmit values of peace and solidarity, starting from the poor and from the peripheries of the cities.

Mozambique is a rapidly changing society: to free the poor, the elderly and women from discrimination and prejudice is the challenge of the future. For this we need to invest in young people who, with the growth of the movement of Youth for Peace, can combat the culture of hatred and transform society, making the city  more humane and beautiful.
