 On May 6, in the Great Mosque of Treichville, the oldest of Abidjan, there was a meeting between Sheik Fofana, Chairman of the Higher Council of Imams of Côte d'Ivoire, together with a group of hundreds of imams, representing Muslim communities in the country, and a delegation of the Community of Sant'Egidio, led by Andrea Riccardi.
During the meeting, marked by an atmosphere of great friendship, many shared wittness and evidence of active cooperation for peace and against violence in recent years between Ivorian Islam and the Community of Sant'Egidio.
