The two delegations, after discussing the first point of the agenda that had been agreed upon on November 3, 2013, approved a document related to "Measures of mutual confidences".  In this document, the parties have decided to make  public the following points:

  1. Make public the position of the Senegalese government that has indicated in writing that "there is no warrant of arrest issued against Salif Sadio".

  2. Adopt the necessary measures to ensure the freedom of movement, within the framework of peace negotiations, for Mr. Salif Sadio, Head of the Movement of Democratic Forces of Casamance, and for his representatives.

  3. Within the framework of the "Measures of mutual confidence", the two Parties are committed to maintain a behaviour that can facilitate negotiations for the return of peace in Casamance and reduce the suffering of the population.

The two delegations have both welcomed the constructive spirit and sincerity that has prevailed during this session organized by the Community of Sant'Egidio, which has spared no efforts to promote the good results of these talks.

The two sides agreed to continue their work in Rome at the headquarters of the Community of Sant'Egidio, according to the dates to be determined by mutual agreement.

The Community of Sant'Egidio, on its part, expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by both parties for a just and lasting solution to the conflict, and is looking with confidence to the continuation of the peace process.
