"From John XXIII to Francis: Jews and Christians in Dialogue" is the theme of the conference organised by the Community of Sant'Egidio that will take place in Rome on Monday 28 April at the conference room of Via della Paglia 14/b, beginning at 10.00.

The day after the canonization, at the first working session chaired by Marco Impagliazzo, the relationship of St. John Paul II with the Jews will be reviewed by Andrea Riccardi, the founder of the Community of Sant'Egidio, by Cardinal Walter Kasper, the president emeritus of the Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews and by rabbis Riccardo Di Segni and David Rosen.

The afternoon session, chaired by Bishop Ambrogio Spreafico, the Bishop of Frosinone, will be attended by Cardinal Kurt Koch on the theme "From the Second Vatican Council: a history of dialogue", director general of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Oder Wiener ("The travels of popes in Israel") and historian Marco Roncalli ("John XXIII and the Jews"). Argentine Rabbi Abraham Skorka, a longtime friend of Pope Francis, will complete the work by participating on the theme "Pope Francis and the Jews".
