The Archbishop of Aleppo wrote to Sant'Egidio: "Heartfelt thanks for the help received"

Support for the families affected by the civil war. Mons. Marayati: "The appeal Save Aleppo is a cry for justice and peace that moves us and encourages us".

"I wish to once again reiterate my gratitude and my appreciation for all that the Community does; and I thank prof. Andrea Riccardi for his appeal “Save Aleppo”. It is a “cry” for justice and peace that moves us and encourages us".In a letter addressed to Marco Impagliazzo, Archbishop Boutros Marayati of Aleppo expresses his gratitude and his emotion and that of the faithful of Aleppo for the additional aid received from the Community, thanks to the fundraising of last 30 June to support the populations and especially the Christians that suffer in Syria and Iraq.

In the letter, the archbishop informs that this aid will be targeted to the neediest families affected by the civil war and for the restoration of a part of the structures of the diocese hit by a missile last 3 June.
