"Prayer, poor, peace” this is the charism of Sant'Egidio. Pope Francis said this during his visit to the Community in the Basilica of Trastevere in Rome the 11th March 2018, precisely one year ago.
In the words of the Holy Father the invitation to live a new daring for the Gospel, which becomes a daily and patient mission for the poor. Audacity then, not the courage of a day.
His peculiar vision on the geographical and existential peripheries of the world, brings the poor at the very heart of the Church and creates a Christian community with a heart open for "everyone, everyone, everyone".
