THE MEETING FOR PEACE AND DIALOGUE BETWEEN RELIGIONS, WHICH IS ENTITLED “CHEMIN DE PAIX”, WAS HELD IN TOGO

Representatives of different religions gathered in Togo, specifically last October 28, for a day of dialogue and prayer for peace. This conference was promoted by the Community of Sant'Egidio.

The Chemin de Paix meeting, which is a local edition of Paths of Peace in Münster, consisted of four panels on different topics: prayer as the root for peace, how to build a world of peace and solidarity, ethnic groups and peace, and multiplication of local and regional conflicts.

At the end of the meeting, Christians of different denominations, Muslims, and representatives of indigenous and Asian religions prayed for peace according to their religious tradition, by also committing themselves to speak and educate others about a culture of peaceful coexistence, especially in a time of conflict.
