Cyclone response reaches isolated villages in Mozambique

Sant'Egidio volunteers working round the clock to save lives

After the flood, the dove and the rainbow on colorful printed t-shirts are signs of hope and reassurance for a new life can start again soon. Even in the most isolated villages surrounding Beira.

The second access roads were restored, volunteers of the Community -  Europeans and many young Africans doing their best to help - decided to reach the villages surrounding Beira. On Sunday they reached the district of Nhamatanda delivering rise, sugar, oil, soap and clothes to precisely 6,166 people. Yet, much more needs to be done.

Please help Sant’Egidio to save lives in Mozambique, for Beira to live again. Thank you.
