FAITH, PRAYER, AND DIALOGUE ARE AT THE CENTER OF THE PRESENTATION OF JACQUES MOURAD’S BOOK “A MONK AS A HOSTAGE.” THIS EXHIBITION TOOK PLACE IN TRIESTE

Father Jacques Mourad's book, which is entitled "A Monk as a Hostage", was presented on February 11 at the Veritas cultural center in Trieste. Father Renato Caprioli Claretian, who is a missionary from Trieste, talked with the author. Many themes were addressed in the presentation such as the power of prayer and forgiveness as a road to the reconstruction of a new humanity and dialogue between religions.

Father Jacques Mourad provided a moving testimony: "I abandoned myself to God from the very beginning of my abduction. When you are in the darkness of suffering and you see the light, it is an explosion. Prayer takes a person beyond what he is experiencing and makes him see the light amid the darkness."

A strong and compelling testimony about one man's faith and one land's hope for peace: Syria.
