Pakistan: Sant'Egidio prays for peace with the families of the victims of the terrorist attack in Lahore

A few days after the terrible attack at the Iqbal Park in Lahore, which struck especially innocent children and women, Christians that were celebrating Easter but also many Muslims, the Community of Sant'Egidio has wished to meet in a prayer vigil in the Yohannabad neighbourhood.
 
These days, the young people of the Community have visited the families of the victims in different parts of the Pakistani metropolis, expressing their solidarity and closeness. Afterwards, some of them participated in the prayer on Saturday evening, lighting candles to remember those that had lost their lives and to turn on the light of the Easter of resurrection, a sign of hope in the darkness of violence and attacks on minorities.
