LIBYA: ON DECEMBER 13, A FIRST MEETING BETWEEN THE REPRESENTATIVES OF CIVIL SOCIETIES IN NAPLES

The Community of Sant'Egidio, in collaboration with the Institute of International Affairs and the University for Foreigners of Perugia, is organizing a congress of Libyan civil societies’ representatives. Specifically, more than 30 delegates from all over the country and representatives of various NGOs and humanitarian organizations will meet tomorrow, December 13, in Naples in order to examine the most urgent issues of the Libyan people, who have been afflicted by the civil war for 7 years. The conference will occur immediately after the gathering in Palermo and it aims to give voice to those who work daily in order to alleviate the suffering of the population. A special focus will be dedicated to young people and the role of women. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emanuela del Re, will also participate in the convention. The final results of the meeting will be disseminated at 6 pm at the Hotel Terminus, which is situated in Piazza Garibaldi 91 (Naples).
