In the basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere three new priests have been ordained as members of the clerical fraternity of Sant'Egidio in the basilica on Saturday 28 September. Surrounded by the joy of lots of friends who had come from all over Rome - where they have been serving the poor during their years of formation - but also from their countries of origin, from their families and from the whole Community, Philippe from France, Hugues from Ivory Coast and Gervais from Cameroon were ordained by mons. Vincenzo Paglia.

The joy and gratitude of the Community that had come together for this liturgical assembly continued in a 'family' party with the new priests who have chosen to serve the altar and the people of God in a spirit of fraternity.
