A thanksgiving plaque to the Italian Cultural Institute in London

Yesterday, representatives of the Community of Sant’Egidio donated a thanksgiving plaque to the Italian Cultural Institute in London, to remember the Christmas dinners that take place every year where everyone is welcome.

Marco Delogu, at the end of his directorial mandate, has remembered the dinners with fondness amongst the things the Institute did in the last four years.

Sant’Egidio’s spokesperson described that when these events occur, the institute is not just a place of culture, but a place of humanity.

Every year, Sant’Egidio organises Christmas lunches and dinners around the world which bring together everyone who feels left out from society: the homeless, the elderly and the lonely. The help Sant’Egidio receives across the world by the many places that want to be part of this revolution of the hearts is truly important.
