 Seventy-five refugees from Lebanon arrived at Fiumicino airport this morning, May 29, thanks to the humanitarian corridors promoted by the Community of Sant'Egidio, the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy, and the Waldensian Table. This occurred in accordance with the Interior and Foreign Ministries. The refugees, most of them coming from Syria, are joining the 1,500 people who have arrived legally and safely in Italy, France, and Belgium since February 2016.

The press conference will be streamed at 11 a.m. The speakers will be Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Community of Sant'Egidio, and Paolo Naso, who is on behalf of the Italian Protestant Churches, along with representatives of the Interior and Foreign Ministries.
