ARCHBISHOP VINCENZO PAGLIA WAS IN LEBANON TO MEET WITH THE SYRIAN AND IRAQI REFUGEES WHO ARE WAITING TO LEAVE THROUGH HUMANITARIAN CORRIDORS

Msgr. Vincenzo Paglia was in Beirut for a lecture at the Maronite University La Sagesse and met with a group of Syrian and Iraqi refugees in Lebanon. These refugees are waiting to reach France and Italy through humanitarian corridors.
By greeting them, Msgr. Paglia was able to talk about the history of Sant'Egidio's friendship with Syria, which has been a land of company between Christians and Muslims for centuries. By using Pope Francis' words, it symbolizes the "Universal Brotherhood".
