PRESS CONFERENCE: #HUMANITARIANCORRIDORS ARE A MODEL FOR EUROPE

It will take place on Monday, April 4, at 3 p.m., at the Foreign Press Headquarters, Via dell'Umiltà 83/c.

On Monday, April 4, Marco Impagliazzo, president of the Community of Sant'Egidio, and Luca Maria Negro, president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches in Italy, will present the "humanitarian corridors" project to the foreign press. It is the only one of its kind in Europe.

The meeting will be an opportunity to draw a first balance sheet on the operation for the promoters of the ecumenical project. In particular, this initiative has already allowed an initial group of 97 Syrian refugees in "vulnerable" conditions (out of an expected 1,000) to arrive in Italy with a regular visa without risking their lives in the Mediterranean Sea or in the land routes leading to Europe.

Humanitarian corridors can be a replicable model by other European states.
