THE 10.30 A.M LITURGY IS DEDICATED TO PRAYER FOR ALEPPO AND SYRIA ON AUGUST 15 AT S. MARIA IN TRASTEVERE

The Community of Sant'Egidio will dedicate the Feast of the Assumption to the tragic events that have been experienced by the Syrian people as a result of a war, which seems to have no end.

In particular, the August 15 liturgy, which will take place at Santa Maria in Trastevere around 10:30 a.m., will commemorate Aleppo. This city has been reduced to exhaustion. Hence, Sant'Egidio launched a few days ago a strong appeal for a truce that offers a way of salvation to the inhabitants of this city. It is a symbol of coexistence between cultures and religions. It is also a victim of a siege that spares no one, starting with the weakest, the sick, and children.
