PRESIDENT OF THE SLOVENIAN PARLIAMENT, MILAN BRGLEZ, VISITED THE COMMUNITY OF SANT’EGIDIO

 The speaker of the Slovenian Parliament, Milan Brglez, along with a large delegation of parliamentarians and diplomats, met Marco Impagliazzo and other representatives of the Community of Sant'Egidio. The visit focused on the deep and long-standing friendship between the Community of Sant'Egidio and Slovenia.

The Speaker of the Parliament expressed his gratitude for the Community's peace work in the Balkan Peninsula. Furthermore, he renewed his call for this commitment to bring stability and peace to the Balkans.

Marco Impagliazzo recalled the commitment to the stabilization of Albania and Kosovo and the prayer for peace that was held in Sarajevo. Specifically, the objective was to help restore the trust and dialogue between the different components of the country. Brglez conveyed interest and appreciation for the project about humanitarian corridors because it can be a response to the suffering of many migrants. In the end, he hoped this project could be adopted by the European Union.
