The Community of Sant'Egidio launches a fundraising campaign to send humanitarian aid to the refugee camps in Bangladesh, in collaboration with the local Church
The dramatic exodus of the rohingya minority from Burma has become a real humanitarian catastrophe. Over the past few weeks, about 500,000 refugees have fled to the refugee camps in Bangladesh, just across the border with Burmese region of Rakhine, where Rohingyas come from.
The Catholic Church of Bangladesh is trying to help as possible but the situation is really dramatic: everyone's involvement is needed to send food every kind of humanitarian aid.
We started a fundraising campaign to respond immediately to the emergency. This website will announce project implementation updates.
