Dear friends,
Less than 2 weeks ago, on February 29th, a group of 93 Syrian refugees reached Italy, about half of them are children. They are the first to be welcomed with the humanitarian corridors, the initiative taken by the Community of Sant'Egidio together with the Federation of Evangelical Churches and the Waldensian Table, to ensure safe passage and save lives in dangerous journeys by sea. This is what Pope Francis described as: "a true sign of commitment for peace and life".
This project is totally self financed.
