Dear friends,
last week ended with the visit of pope Francis to the refugees in the Greek island of Lebos. On his way back to Rome, the pope brought to Italy three Syrian families that escaped from the war. They are 12 people, half of them are children, whose cities were destroyed by the bombs, who lost everything and live in a very fragile condition. The Community of Sant’Egidio is happy and honored to offer the first welcome to the guests of the Pope, and offered its cooperation.
