"Stand up against violence!" 500 high school students gathered to say "No" to any kind of violence.

In the occasion of the initiative "Cities for Life against the Death Penalty", the students of the high schools Labriola, Faraday, Anco Marzio, Toscanelli, and Verne gathered for a big event, not only to say stop to the death penalty, also stop to any kind of violence, especially against those who are weak and strangers.

They heard the story of Ron Carlson, whose sister was killed, who found in forgiving those who committed the murder the way to start living again. He sayd "The actions of each of you depends the change in the world, you are the leaders of tomorrow and you have a choice just ahead to make, the choice to change the world. You can aither choose the revenge and the hate, and the way of love, but the only one to make a change is you loving each other."

Yussef from Marocco and Fabio, belonging to the Movement of the Community "Youth for Peace", spoke about the violence towards those who are foreigner and the work of the Youth for Peace to build a more peaceful city.

All the partecipants wrote a message against violence pinned up to coloured ballons freed in the air to let the whole city see their gesture.
