On Saturday 1 March at the parish church of Sotto il Monte, the birthplace of Pope John XXIII, was held the ceremony for the delivery of the cardinal signs to neo-cardinal Loris Capovilla, who was his secretary, and preserves the memory and the spiritual heritage. The ceremony was also attended by mons. Mark Gnavi, pastor of Santa Maria in Trastevere, of which Capovilla was awarded the title.
When he greeted don Marco, the cardinal expressed his joy for this special connection with this church to which, he said, he is particularly linked, and sent his affectionate embrace to all members of the Community of Sant'Egidio.
