| Death Sentence Overruled
In Pakistan, on the 30th October 2006, the death sentence passed on a Christian was quashed by the court.
The Community of Sant'Egidio, working together with the Catholic Parish Priest of Sargodha, a city in Pakistan’s Punjab, was able to secure the Christian’s release from execution by persuading the victim’s relations to grant their forgiveness. |
