The "spirit of Assisi" returns in Spain with an appointment in the Catalan capital organized by the Community of Sant'Egidio in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Barcelona. In a difficult time, of economical crisis and of regional conflicts that make people feel unsafe, frightened and lost, the religions question themselves to find in dialogue the spiritual energies to offer to a world lacking visions and therefore a future.
Numerous are the cardinal which will be present: among others, Sistach, Turkson, Sepe, Ricard, Majella Agnelo, and others. Significant are the ecumenical presences, from the Patriarchate of Moscow to the Ecumenical Council of Churches, with presences from the of the Lutheran World Federation and of the World Methodist Council.
Extraordinary qualification of the jewish and muslim presence (from 16 countries) and from the great Asian religions. Many secular personalities of the world of culture and of politics, from Latin America to Europe and Africa will be in dialogue to find proposals and solutions for a way out of a decade marked by the world crisis and by the response to terrorism.
