Saturday 29th of September, the Second National Day of the movement Youth for Peace was held in Malawi. It was attended by 650 youth coming from several secondary schools in Blantyre and around the country.
After an introduction about the movement done by Henry Kapasule and several songs, the day achieved its peak with the words given by Elard Alumando, National Responsible person of the Community, who told the story of peace in Mozambique in his speech bearing the title Mozambique 1992-2012: a possible peace.
Many young people, provoked by Elard’s words, proposed reflections and questions which will go on in discussions and meetings in school.
After having lunch together, the Day went on with a party of dances and games. Along the next days, as a result of the day, the movement of the Youth for Peace in the Our Lady of Wisdom Institute will begin to visit the Blantyre archdiocese Nursing home for elderly priests, in a short distance from their school.
