The Headquarters Agreement between the Republic of Mozambique and the Community of Sant'Egidio was signed up yesterday in Maputo.
The Agreement cements a long tradition of friendship and cooperation between Sant'Egio and Mozambique, giving Sant'Egidio the acknowledgement of a legal entity.
It is a special acknowledgement for the Community, which arrived a long time ago from Europe, being today a reality in Mozambique, where 150 Communities are spread all over the country.
The agreement was signed up by the Sant'Egidio founder, Andrea Riccardi, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Mozambique, Oldemiro Baloi.
