At 3.00 a.m. (8.00 p.m. in the USA), in the night between October 26th and 27th, Dominique Green was executed at Houston, in Texas, after unexpected hopes that his life could be spared. While everywhere in the world people were praying for him, the federal judge asked for a stay on his execution. The stay was lifted by the Texas General Attorney. A final appeal to the Supreme Court was also denied. Dominique was thirty years old. Among others, the day before the execution, he had met with the son of the victim of the murder he was accused of. In these days the victim’s son had repeatedly appealed for Dominique’s life to be spared. Before dying, Dominique sent the Community his gratitude and his love. |
