From January 13 to 18, 2009, the 6th World Meeting of Families was held in Mexico City, on the subject: "The family, teacher of human and Christian values".
During of the meeting, a session, presided over by H. Em. Stanislaw Rylko, president of the Pontifical Council for the Laity, was specifically dedicated to "The agencies that help the family in the formation of the values".
Jaime Aguilar, person in charge of the Community of Sant'Egidio of El Salvador, is intervened on behalf of the Community, underlining how the communication of the Gospel in the family makes it a place of welcome to the weakest, particularly the elderly, and of training to peace for the children and the youth, opening them to the values of solidarity towards the poor, of gratuitousness, of love for the others.
